JOB Overview Bejhijhak is a project designed to bring about awareness in adolescent girls and boys regarding puberty and the menstrual cycles for the girls. Along with awareness we also aim at bringing about an attitudinal shift in the hygiene practices that females follow during their menstrual cycle. The shift also caters to changes with respect to the societal taboos and practices which are non-justifiable practices prevalent across the whole country. Bejhijhak for boys addresses the emotional and mental changes that boys undergo during puberty. Most of the times boys do not open up and succumb to a lot of lot of pressure at a very early age. We break the gender stereotypes more for the boys, than the girls because we believe in equality for all. For the older group of boys, 14-18 year olds, we also cover topics like nightfall and demystify that also for them. Job Description - Conducting training programs on Menstrual Hygiene Management/Puberty in schools and rural communities. - Management and preparation for the regular training sessions - Detailed documentation of the sessions being conducted regularly - Conducting pre and post survey with the children Pre-requisites - Should be proficient and comfortable in talking to young girls and boys about puberty and the biological changes that the human body undergoes - Willingness to travel within Lucknow and in the surrounding districts if need be for work.
