Healthcare Research Intern (Remote | Part-Time | Unpaid)

As a Healthcare Research Intern, you will help build Viira Care's evidence-based knowledge library by researching caregiving across different medical conditions and recovery journeys. Responsibilities include: - Research caregiving challenges related to medical recovery, illness, disability, rehabilitation, and long-term care - Explore topics such as caregiver burnout, emotional wellbeing, family caregiving, medication management, rehabilitation, appointment coordination, home adaptations, and daily care routines - Research different recovery contexts including stroke, cancer recovery, neurological disorders, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, elderly care, chronic illness, post-surgical recovery, and disability care - Review academic literature, healthcare guidelines, nonprofit resources, and reputable medical publications - Identify common caregiver questions, unmet needs, and recurring pain points - Create concise research summaries and organized documentation - Help build an internal knowledge base to support future product development - Work closely with the founder to prioritize research topics and identify knowledge gaps We're Looking For Someone Who: - Enjoys researching and learning independently - Has strong analytical thinking and attention to detail - Can organize information clearly and logically - Is comfortable reading healthcare or psychology-related material - Cares about improving healthcare, accessibility, or social impact - Is proactive and comfortable working remotely Preferred Backgrounds: This internship is especially suitable for students pursuing: - Public Health - Psychology - Nursing - Physiotherapy - Occupational Therapy - Medicine - Allied Health Sciences - Life Sciences - Social Work - Healthcare Management - Rehabilitation Sciences Students from other disciplines with strong research skills are also encouraged to apply.
