What You'll Do You will work closely with the founder to develop Viira Care's foundational design system and translate the existing brand direction into a reusable digital product library. Your responsibilities will include: - Establish and refine the product's color system, typography, spacing, grids, elevation, iconography, and other visual foundations - Create a structured Figma design library for mobile and web - Adapt and customize Material Design/Material UI foundations to fit Viira Care's visual identity rather than designing every component from scratch - Create and document reusable UI components, variants, states, and properties - Develop components such as buttons, inputs, cards, navigation, chips, dialogs, forms, menus, alerts, and other common interface patterns - Establish responsive behavior and consistency between mobile and web interfaces - Define component usage guidelines and basic design-system documentation - Review existing product designs and identify opportunities for greater visual and interaction consistency - Consider accessibility, readability, touch targets, contrast, and usability when defining components - Collaborate directly with the founder and future development team to ensure the library is practical for implementation - Help create a scalable foundation that can support future product features as Viira Care grows Preferred / Nice to Have - Previous experience creating or contributing to a design system or component library - Familiarity with Material Design / Material 3 - Experience designing both mobile applications and responsive websites - Familiarity with WCAG/accessibility standards - Interest in HealthTech, accessibility, caregiving, or social-impact products

Viira Care is an early-stage caregiver-first platform being built to support family caregivers navigating medical recovery, illness, disability, and long-term care. We are currently building our Instagram presence to share practical caregiving guidance, care education, real caregiver experiences, and thoughtful content around the challenges family caregivers often face.
